A. Anyone who misses out will of course be offered a refund however we ask that teams indicate a second choice to help us find and offer an alternative.
Q. What’s this online registration stuff all about?
A. In the past, to register for our Club you had to fill in a form and either post it in with a cheque, or turn up on our registration day with your form and payment. Then we had to enter all the player details (lots of them!) into a computer database. With online registration, you enter player details yourself straight into our database (which generally means fewer errors), and have the option to pay then and there or post in your payment. This saves you time, saves us time, and saves you having to join the queues on registration days. It also means that if any player details change, like address, telephone number or email address, you can update the details yourself at any time.
Q. How do I register a player that’s played before?
A. If you have registered before, you will receive an email from us with a randomly-generated player password. Then you use the “Re Register a Player” link at the top of the Registration page. You will be asked for some player details and the password, and will then have access to all the player details we already have on record. Now you change any details that need changing (if any) and supply a new password that you will use in future. Then click on the Register button and you’re al
Q. How do I register a new player or one transferring from another Club?
A. Simply click on the “Register a New Player” link at the top of the Registration page. Supply all the player details, including a password that you wish to use to access the player’s details in future. Then click on the Register button and you’re al
Q. How do I process the payment?
A. Once you’ve registered all the players from the same family, click on the [Payment Arrangements] link. From here you will be presented with the total amount payable and a choice of payment options – pay online using your credit card, electronic funds transfer etc. If you pay online, you’ll be asked for your credit card number and expiry date and once you proceed the payment will be processed immediately. After a brief wait you’ll be told whether your payment was successful. A confirmation email will also be sent to you.
Q. How do I change the details of a player already registered?
A. Simply click on the “Update Player Details” link at the top of the Registration page, enter the player details and password as requested, and change whatever details you wish. But remember to also let your Team Manager know about the change and, if you’re a Club Official, to let us know so that we can update other records.
Q. Is the password I supply kept in a secure manner?
A. Absolutely! We never keep the password in its original form in our database. We use a technique called “one-way encryption” that takes the original password and “makes a mess of it”. It is this mess that’s stored in our database. When you are asked for your password in future, it goes through the same process, and it’s only the “mess” that’s compared with what’s in our database. It is not possible to re-create your real password from the mess we have stored.
Q. What if I forget the password?
A. In this case, you need to ask us to reset the password. You’ll be sent an email to the address we have on record for the player with a new randomly-generated password. Use this password to access the player details and set a new password of your choosing.
Q. Are my credit card details secure?
A. Absolutely! We use industry-standard encryption on all web pages and your credit card details are never stored by us or the organisation that processes the payment, Verisign. In fact, it’s inherently
Q. What happens to all these details I’m giving to the Club?
A. Of course, in this day and age we’re all concerned about the privacy of our information. We can assure you that all the details you supply are only used in the running of our Club, and will never be made available or sold to outside parties. We may use information in aggregate, such as the number of Club members, in marketing activities, but only Club officials will have access to individual player details stored on our database.
Q. What do I do if I have problems?
A. Just send us an email and we'll sort things out.
